PK Education Sheffield are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary academy in the Rotherham area to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them to access the curriculum, build positive relationships and develop academically, socially and emotionally. You will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to ensure every child receives the encouragement and guidance they need to succeed.

The role will include:

• Providing tailored support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Working on a one-to-one basis and with small intervention groups.
• Supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive learning.
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging independence.
• Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Helping to create a positive, safe and nurturing learning environment.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience supporting children with SEN within a school or similar setting.
• Is patient, empathetic and passionate about helping children achieve their best.
• Can adapt their approach to meet individual learning needs.
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Is committed to making a lasting difference to children’s education and wellbeing.
