We are currently recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants in Hoyland to join supportive school environments from September. These full-time opportunities are ideal for experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and individuals with a strong background in supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support various children across the school with SEND, providing tailored support to help pupils engage with learning, develop their confidence and achieve their full potential.
SEND Teaching Assistant – The Role
- Full-time SEND Teaching Assistant position
- September start
- Pay rates starting from £95 per day
- Minimum commitment of 1 half term
- Potential for the placement to continue longer term
- Supporting various children with SEND across the school
- Working closely with class teachers, SEND staff and the wider school team
- Providing academic, emotional and pastoral support where required
- Helping pupils access the curriculum and participate positively in school life
- Supporting children with a range of additional needs
What We’re Looking ForWe are looking for reliable, caring and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting children and helping them succeed.
Previous experience working with SEND, SEN, schools, children or young people is highly desirable. We would also welcome applications from candidates with relevant transferable experience, including those with backgrounds in education, childcare, youth work or support work.
