About the role
Help autistic people and people with learning disabilities thrive in their local communities.
Hopeful Futures CIC is looking for an experienced, values-led CQC Registered Manager to lead our domiciliary care service in the London Borough of Newham. We currently provide a day-time programme with occasional overnight respite cate for one individual with complex needs. This is an opportunity to shape a growing service, support our team and ensure people receive safe, personalised care that respects their rights, dignity and choices.
The role offers £20 per hour (£39,000 full-time equivalent) for 15 hours across two days per week. You will work on a hybrid basis, with at least one full day each week in our Newham office on Thursdays. Flexible working arrangements may be considered upon request.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take overall responsibility for the quality, safety and compliance of our service. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading CQC inspection preparation, maintaining regulatory compliance and driving improvements in care.
- Acting as Safeguarding Lead, ensuring concerns are handled appropriately and staff have the training and support they need.
- Overseeing care plans, risk assessments, medication systems and quality audits.
- Line managing our Programme Lead and overseeing staff recruitment, induction and competency checks.
- Planning and delivering specialist training, working closely with families and professionals, and helping develop and grow our service.
We are looking for someone with experience of managing or leading adult social care services, particularly domiciliary care or supported living. You will bring at least five years’ direct experience supporting people with learning disabilities and autism, including people with additional mental health needs or behaviours of distress.
You will need a strong understanding of CQC requirements, safeguarding, Positive Behaviour Support, person-centred practice and active support. Good communication, report writing and relationship-building skills are essential, alongside a reflective and flexible approach.
A relevant Level 5 leadership and management qualification, a professional health or social care qualification, and experience of delivering training are desirable.
Our work is guided by our LIGHT values: Love, Integrity, Gentleness, High expectations and Time. We are looking for someone who will put these values into practice every day.
In return, we offer:
- High-quality training and a thorough induction.
- Annual leave that increases with length of service, plus an additional day off for your birthday.
- Enhanced maternity and adoption leave.
- An enhanced Employee Assistance Programme, including free counselling and wellbeing support.
We are a recognised Disability Confident employer and welcome applicants of all faiths and none. Applicants should be sympathetic to the organisation’s Christian ethos and share our commitment to equality and inclusion.
Any offer is subject to a satisfactory CQC interview outcome, an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
If you share our values and have the experience to lead safe, person-centred care, we would love to hear from you.
