How much do Christmas temp jobs pay?

When do Christmas temp jobs start hiring?

Do I need experience for Christmas warehouse work?

Usually not. Picking, packing, sorting and stock roles are normally trained on site, often in a day or two. Driving roles need the right licence: a car licence covers most van delivery work up to 3.5 tonnes, and HGV work needs a C or C+E licence.

Can a Christmas temp job become permanent?

Often, yes. Plenty of peak temps are kept on after Christmas, especially reliable people who turn up for every shift. Look for "temp to perm" on the advert, and tell your manager or agency early that you would like to stay.

How much do Christmas temp jobs pay?

You must be paid at least the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage for your age. Many peak roles pay more for nights, weekends or overtime, and the advert should say so. On YourNextJob.co.uk the pay is shown on every job wherever the employer gives it.

Should I apply through an agency or direct?

Either works. Many large operators hire peak staff through recruitment agencies as well as directly. A genuine UK agency will never charge you a fee to find you work, and your employer should give you safety boots and hi-vis free of charge if the job needs them.
