Financial Planning Manager

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Financial Planning and Reporting Manager to join East Riding of Yorkshire Council on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities Recruit, develop, lead and motivate a team to support a culture of high-quality performance and continuous improvement to achieve excellent outcomes that meet the needs of the organisation within a fixed level of resources. Resolve performance issues in order to support a culture of performance and productivity. Manage, plan, organise and ensure the efficient and effective delivery of professional services, translating wider Directorate objectives into a clear service plan. Design, develop and deliver training or learning programmes as required and promote a working culture that is based on best practice in delivering services. Produce recommendations for service planning, budgets, and workforce planning, using expertise to proactively identify relevant customer, professional or legislative trends that may impact on delivery. Essential Requirements Recognised chartered accountancy qualification together with extensive experience at a senior level in a public sector financial environment Extensive knowledge of financial management at a strategic level.
