Are you an experienced Voids Manager or Contracts Manager looking for an immediate interim position with a Local Authority before Christmas?

We are urgently recruiting an Interim Voids Manager to oversee void property turnarounds across the Hampstead and Kilburn district within Camden. Paying ~£30.00 per hour PAYE (approx. £65k/annum equivalent) with a council vehicle provided, this role focuses on managing sub-contractor delivery, maintaining void turnaround standards, and driving key-to-key performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Void Turnaround & Operations: Lead the end-to-end void management process across occupied and vacant social housing stock within the Hampstead & Kilburn patch.

• Contractor Management: Oversee external sub-contractors delivering void works (including full kitchen and bathroom refurbishments), ensuring compliance with contractual SLAs and quality standards.

• Quality Assurance & Handbacks: Conduct pre-void, progress, and post-void inspections to ensure all properties meet council letting standards.

• Key-to-Key Efficiency: Manage workflow and progress reports to minimize void turnaround times and key-to-key performance KPIs.

Candidate Profile & Requirements:

• Social Housing Experience: Proven track record as a Voids Manager, Contracts Manager, or Senior Voids Officer within a Local Authority or Housing Association environment.

• Contract Management Expertise: Experience managing outsourced external contractors delivering void refurbishments (kitchens, bathrooms, full overhauls).

• Client-Side Background: Direct client-side / Local Authority experience is highly preferred (contractor-side void managers with strong client liaison skills will also be considered).

• Driving Licence: Valid Full UK Driving Licence (essential to utilize the provided council vehicle).

• Location & Commute: Ability to easily commute across the Camden / Hampstead / Kilburn patch.
