About the Role
AVTAV is recruiting Logistics Operatives on behalf of a major airport retail logistics operation based within Heathrow terminals.
This is a customer-facing logistics role supporting premium and high-end airport retail brands. Working within a secure, fast-paced environment, you will play a key part in ensuring goods are delivered efficiently and professionally to retail shop floors.
Unlike a standard warehouse role, this position involves working directly within Heathrow terminals, liaising with store teams, and helping maintain excellent service standards in a premium retail environment. Fixed shift options are available, and pay progression applies after 12 weeks in line with Agency Worker Regulations (AWR).
Pay Rates
Pre-12 Weeks
AM Shift
- Standard Rate: £13.16 per hour
- Overtime Rate: £19.74 per hour
- Bank Holiday Rate: £26.32 per hour
PM Shift
- Standard Rate: £13.44 per hour
- Overtime Rate: £20.16 per hour
- Bank Holiday Rate: £26.88 per hour
Night Shift
- Standard Rate: £14.01 per hour
- Overtime Rate: £21.02 per hour
- Bank Holiday Rate: £28.02 per hour
Post-12 Weeks (AWR / Parity)
AM Shift
- Standard Rate: £14.80 per hour
- Overtime Rate: £22.20 per hour
- Bank Holiday Rate: £29.60 per hour
PM Shift
- Standard Rate: £15.12 per hour
- Overtime Rate: £22.68 per hour
- Bank Holiday Rate: £30.24 per hour
Night Shift
- Standard Rate: £15.77 per hour
- Overtime Rate: £23.66 per hour
- Bank Holiday Rate: £31.54 per hour
Shift Pattern
- Fixed AM, PM or Night shift available
- 5 days out of 7
- Weekend flexibility required
Key Responsibilities
- Offloading deliveries within secure terminal areas
- Breaking down pallets and organising stock
- Delivering goods directly to retail shop floors
- Working in line with aviation security procedures
- Maintaining safe and organised working areas
- Liaising professionally with store teams and supporting premium retail environments
Candidate Requirements
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable with manual handling
- Able to work in a fast-paced airport environment
- Professional and team-focused
- Customer-facing experience is essential
- Strong customer service skills with a confident and professional manner
- Experience working within premium or high-end retail environments is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with store teams
