ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER Job Title: Electrical Maintenance EngineerLocation: Wigan, LancashireSalary: £48,296 (OTE £58,000+)Shift: LENJob Role of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer A brilliant opportunity has arisen for a strong electrical bias maintenance engineer to join a high-speed, fast-paced manufacturing site with some seriously impressive kit. This is a role for an engineer who enjoys fault-finding, autonomy, and continuous improvement in a production environment where engineering really makes the difference.You’ll be working on high-speed equipment producing customer-specific products, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, diagnostics, and supporting installations/projects—ensuring maximum uptime and performance.Core responsibilities include: Electrical fault-finding and breakdown response in a high-speed areaPlanned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenanceRoot cause analysis and improvement mindsetProject work / installations where required Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer Electrical (or strong maintenance) experience within an industrial/manufacturing environmentHands-on experience with PPMs, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced factory Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer Strong electrical fault-finding skills (electrical bias — will consider up to 100% electrical)Apprentice trained / Level 3 engineering qualification (or equivalent)Comfortable fault-finding on typical industrial electrical systems such as: Sensors, inverters/drives, motors, control panelsSingle & three phase (415V), AC/DCAbility to read engineering drawingsPLC exposure (Siemens) beneficial for fault-find support Desirable Requirements Forces / ex-forces backgrounds welcomedProactive, team-first attitude—someone who gets stuck in and communicates well The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will benefit from Stable permanent role with a strong package and overtime ratesPensionsDeath in service (4x salary)Sick payA culture that values ownership, teamwork, and doing the job properly If you are interested in this role and feel that you have the right skills, then please click apply at the bottom of this advert.For further details, contact Antony Edwards at Pioneer Selection.As a registered candidate with Pioneer Selection Ltd, you automatically become eligible for our referral scheme.
