Field Service Engineer (Conveyors / Mechanical Engineering) Greater Manchester Based UK Travel Required 30,000 – 32,000 Basic + Overtime + Company Van + Bonus The Opportunity A leading engineering business specialising in conveyor systems and material handling solutions is looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join its growing team. This is a varied role combining workshop–based fabrication work with nationwide installation, maintenance and repair of conveyor systems across a wide range of manufacturing and industrial environments. Ideal for someone with conveyor, mechanical maintenance, installation, fitting or field service experience looking to develop their career with a well–established and growing organisation. Key Responsibilities Fabrication and assembly of conveyor beltsConveyor belt installation and replacement on customer sitesMechanical repairs and fault findingReplacement of rollers, bearings, pulleys and associated componentsPlanned preventative maintenance and breakdown responseWorking closely with customers to minimise downtimeCompleting service reports and documentationEnsuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard What We're Looking For Mechanical engineering, maintenance or fitting experienceExperience working with conveyors, material handling systems or industrial machineryStrong fault–finding abilitiesComfortable travelling throughout the UKFull UK Driving LicenceFlexible approach to overtime and occasional overnight staysCustomer–focused attitude Desirable Conveyor belt splicing or fabrication experienceManufacturing or food production experienceWelding or fabrication skillsEngineering qualifications or apprenticeship backgroundCSCS, IPAF or PASMA certification What's In It For You? 30,000 – 32,000 basic salary Company vehicle provided Regular overtime available Time–and–a–half after standard hours Double time on weekends and bank holidays Annual bonus scheme 26 days holiday plus bank holidays Pension and life assurance Ongoing training and development Genuine career progression opportunities Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
