About the role
Bennett Staff are currently seeking a MIG Welder to join our client based in Stalybridge. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- MIG Welding
- Following measurements from drawing/diagrams
- Creation of boxes, cases and frames
- Linishing welded areas ready for coating
- Working closely with another member of staff to complete tasks.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- leasing with supervisors to report any production issues.
- Proficient in sheet metal work and welding processes
- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand technical drawings and specifications
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for measurements and material estimates
- Experience with power tools for cutting, grinding, and shaping metal
- Skilled in stick welding techniques for different types of metals
- Capable of using hand tools effectively for assembly and finishing tasks
- 6.00am to 6.00pm – Monday to Thursday.
- 48 hours per week.
- Overtime available on Friday mornings.
- £14.14 per hour
- Free on-site parking.
- Weekly Pay.
