Are you someone who can sing slightly off‑key with confidence, laugh at jokes that make no sense, count a fast-moving group of small humans in seconds, and remember every child’s favourite dinosaur (including their third favourite)? If so, you may be exactly who we’re looking for.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate early years practitioner to join our warm and supportive EYFS team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring practitioner who is committed to providing high‑quality early years education, nurturing strong relationships with children and families, and leading practice that enables every child to thrive.
In this role, you will be well supported to help you focus on teaching and learning of the nursery. Along with the Nursery Manager and Deputy, you will work to ensure inclusive and responsive support for children with additional needs. As part of a wider network of EYFS practitioners, you will benefit from collaboration, shared expertise and ongoing professional development across our schools.
If you are a dedicated early years professional with a positive mindset and a desire to make a meaningful impact within a caring school community, we would love to hear from you. This is an exciting time for our school as we establish a new all‑year‑round nursery provision, offering the successful candidate a rare opportunity to be part of having a real and lasting impact for children, families and the wider community.
About the Role
Create a nurturing, stimulating and safe environment where every child thrives
An understanding and awareness of the Early Years Framework
A drive to help our children develop independent learning behaviours that will see them prepared for their future learning journey
A committed approach and engagement to the wider school community
A cheerful, fresh and creative approach to giving the children in your care the best you can
To have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a strong and supportive team
What we’re Looking For
Someone who:
- Puts children at the heart of every decision
- Has robust EYFS knowledge, including the latest Early Years Framework and the confidence to lead a team
- Can think on their feet, stay solution‑focused and show initiative
Doesn’t mind occasionally becoming a princess, pirate or dragon (a convincing dragon roar is optional but appreciated)
What we can offer you:
Salary Sacrifice offers, including Bike2Work, Tech Scheme and Gym Membership
Substantial workplace pension
Term time ‘Give Back Day’ to take for personal reasons
Staff Wellbeing support
CPD opportunities for all staff
For this role, you will ideally hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or a similar/higher/equivalent qualification, however those with Level 2 are still welcome to apply and future training and development may be available.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and Social Media online check.
