MULTI-SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEERLocation: Huddersfield, West YorkshireSalary: £43,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)Job Type: Full-time, PermanentIndustry: Manufacturing10 Recruitment are working with an established manufacturing business in Huddersfield who are looking to recruit an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working within a busy manufacturing environment, maintaining a variety of production machinery and playing a key role in keeping operations running efficiently.We're looking for somebody with a strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical maintenance, who is confident fault-finding, carrying out repairs and taking a proactive approach to machinery reliability.THE ROLECarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across manufacturing and production machinery.Respond to machinery breakdowns, diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to minimise downtime.Undertake both mechanical and electrical fault-finding.Maintain and repair equipment including motors, drives, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors and other production machinery.Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Identify recurring machinery faults and implement improvements to prevent further breakdowns.Support machinery installations, modifications and general engineering improvements.Work closely with production teams to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.Maintain accurate maintenance records and adhere to health and safety procedures.Assist with general site maintenance and engineering requirements where necessary.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORPrevious experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing or an industrial environment.A multi-skilled engineering background, with good mechanical and electrical knowledge.Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.Confidence in fault-finding and repairing production machinery.Knowledge of motors, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical transmission systems.A recognised engineering qualification or relevant practical experience.A proactive, hands-on approach to engineering and problem-solving.Somebody who takes pride in maintaining machinery and keeping production running.Experience within textile manufacturing, weaving machinery or other continuous production environments would be particularly advantageous, although engineers from other manufacturing backgrounds are encouraged to apply.WHAT'S ON OFFER?Salary of £43,000 – £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience.Permanent opportunity with an established manufacturing business.Varied engineering work across production machinery.Opportunity to contribute to machinery improvements and reliability.A long-term position within a manufacturing environment.INTERESTED?If you're an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for your next opportunity in Huddersfield, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today or contact 10 Recruitment for a confidential discussion.
