Are you a qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young children in their first stages of education?

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school on the Wirral for a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their nursery team from September. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity to work in a nurturing Early Years environment, supporting children as they learn, develop and thrive.

The role would suit an enthusiastic and caring individual with previous experience working within a school nursery or private nursery setting, who is committed to providing high-quality support for young learners.

The Role 

• Supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Assisting with the delivery of engaging and creative learning activities
• Supporting children’s social, emotional and educational development
• Helping to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
• Working closely with teachers and nursery staff to support learning outcomes
• Observing and monitoring children’s progress and development
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging independence

Essential Requirements 

• A recognised Early Years Qualification that is suitable to count towards EYFS staff-to-child ratios
• Previous experience working within a school nursery, preschool or private nursery setting
• A genuine passion for working with young children
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

Desirable Requirements

• Experience supporting children with additional needs or SEN
• Knowledge of the EYFS Framework and child development
• Paediatric First Aid qualification
• Experience working within a primary school setting
