SEND Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference?

Flourish Education is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming, Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ one-form entry primary school in Coventry.

Starting in December and continuing until April 2027, you’ll be supporting a Year 2 pupil on a 1:1 basis. The pupil has Autism and presents with challenging behaviour, so the school is looking for someone who is patient, confident and nurturing, with the skills to build positive relationships and provide consistent support.

This is a great opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping children with additional needs feel supported, safe and ready to learn.

What you’ll need:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent.

• Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism.

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in a UK primary school.

• A DBS on the Update Service or one issued within the last 12 months.

• Two recent professional references.

Location

The role is based in Coventry, with good transport links from Bedworth, Nuneaton, Kenilworth, Rugby and the surrounding areas. Onsite parking is also available for staff.
