About the role
Sea Import Operator | Location: West Thurrock, Essex
Salary: £30,000 to £33,000 DOE
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time, On-site
Noble Recruiting is looking for an experienced Sea Freight Import Operator to join an established freight forwarding company in West Thurrock, Essex. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of sea freight import shipments from start to finish, managing both FCL and LCL movements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage sea freight import bookings and shipments.
- Coordinate with overseas agents, shipping lines and hauliers.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation.
- Arrange final deliveries and obtain haulage quotations.
- Liaise with Customs teams regarding import clearances.
- Keep customers updated throughout the shipping process.
Skills & Experience:
- Recent sea freight import operations experience, essential.
- Good knowledge of FCL and LCL shipments.
- Understanding of shipping documentation and import procedures.
- Knowledge of Incoterms and customs clearance desirable.
- Confident communicator with strong organisational skills.
- Own transport essential due to location.
