Learning Support Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a caring, enthusiastic and adaptable Learning Support Assistant to work within a friendly primary school in the Halliwell area of Bolton.

The school caters for children from early years through to Year 6 and is committed to providing a nurturing environment where pupils can develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys building positive relationships with children and understands the importance of providing individualised support.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils across the primary age range.

• Providing one-to-one assistance for children who need additional guidance.

• Supporting small groups with reading, writing and mathematics.

• Helping pupils remain engaged and focused during classroom activities.

• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting independence.

• Working alongside teachers to adapt activities to suit individual learning needs.

• Supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing and confidence.

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in a school, nursery or childcare setting.

• Experience supporting children with additional learning needs would be advantageous.

• A calm, nurturing and understanding personality.

• The ability to adapt to different classroom environments.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• A proactive approach and willingness to get involved.
