Job title: Project Worker Complex Needs
Delegated Authority: Level 8
Team: Muswell Hill Women’s Service
Responsible to: Service Manager
Responsible for: N/A
Job purpose
For women who have experienced homelessness, trauma, abuse and multiple disadvantage, feeling safe enough to trust others and begin rebuilding their lives can take time. This role exists to make that possible.
As a Project Worker, you will build consistent, trusting relationships with women living within our 17-bed Muswell Hill service, creating space for them to feel heard, regain choice and take greater control over what happens next. You will work alongside each woman to understand what matters to her, recognise her strengths and develop support that reflects her experiences, priorities and goals.
Using gender-informed, trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches, you will support women across different areas of their lives, including housing, safety, physical and mental health, substance use, relationships, finances and connection with their communities. You will understand how experiences of violence, abuse and trauma can shape the way women engage with services and will adapt your approach with patience, curiosity and respect.
You will balance compassionate, relationship-based support with effective risk management, safeguarding and housing responsibilities, working closely with colleagues and partner agencies to provide coordinated support around each woman.
At its heart, this role is about helping women build greater safety, stability and confidence. By providing consistent support without judgement and working at each woman’s pace, you will help create the conditions in which recovery, independence and new possibilities can grow.
