Hotel General Manager
Cornwall
JWR is recruiting an experienced General Manager to lead a prestigious hotel in a stunning riverside setting in Cornwall.
With an established reputation, loyal guests and a dedicated team, the hotel is entering an exciting period of investment and development. Plans include a new spa, scheduled to open in spring/summer 2028, strengthening its position as a luxury leisure and wellness destination.
This is an opportunity for a commercially astute, hands-on hotel leader to drive current performance while helping shape the property's future.

The Opportunity
- Take responsibility for the hotel's operation across accommodation, food and beverage, spa and leisure.
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences through visible leadership and consistently high standards.
- Recruit, develop and retain a motivated team, building confident and accountable departmental leaders.
- Drive revenue, profitability and effective management of budgets, payroll and operating costs.
- Maximise opportunities across bedrooms, dining, spa, leisure and guest experiences.
- Work closely with group Operations, Sales, Marketing, Revenue and Finance teams.
- Support preparations for the planned spa opening, ensuring the team, operation and guest journey are ready.
- Oversee property standards, maintenance priorities, compliance and operational controls.
About You
- An experienced General Manager with a strong background in full-service hotels.
- A visible, approachable leader who enjoys engaging with guests and supporting the team.
- Commercially confident, with a proven ability to manage financial performance.
- Passionate about developing people and delivering outstanding hospitality.
- Calm, practical and confident leading through change.
- Experience of hotel investment, refurbishment or development would be particularly valuable.
- Exposure to luxury leisure, spa or wellness operations would be advantageous.
