About the role
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity in Barnet, North London? SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a welcoming primary school seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant for a January start.
This long-term role involves providing 1:1 support to KS2 pupils with additional needs, including Autism and ADHD. You will help pupils access the curriculum, develop independence and build confidence in a supportive classroom environment.
The Role: SEN Teaching Assistant- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs.
- Support KS2 learning, engagement and social development.
- Help pupils access lessons and participate positively in school life.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children.
- Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team.
- Experience with PECS and Makaton would be advantageous.
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN or additional needs.
- A patient, caring and nurturing approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive and adaptable attitude.
- A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
- A welcoming and supportive primary school in Barnet.
- A collaborative staff team.
