Job description
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Skip Driver to join our team based in Crawley.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering, exchanging and collecting skips from residential, commercial and construction sites, providing a professional and friendly service to our customers.
This is a full-time position offering regular weekday hours, with occasional Saturday morning work required.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver, exchange and collect skips safely and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Ensure all loads are handled safely and in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Complete required paperwork and delivery records accurately.
- Maintain the vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Valid HGV licence appropriate for the vehicle being driven.
- Good knowledge of road safety and vehicle operation.
- A reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily routes.
- Previous skip driving experience would be an advantage.
Working hours
- Monday to Friday: 07:00–17:00.
- Occasional Saturday mornings.
