EHS Specialist (6-Month Contract)
Location: Coventry
Contract: 6 Months
Rate: £25 - £29 p/h PAYE (Umbrella also an option)
We're seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to support our Health, Safety and Environmental programme on a 6-month contract basis in Coventry. You'll play a key role in maintaining compliance, driving continuous improvement, and promoting a positive safety culture within a fast-paced engineering/manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Advise managers and employees on EHS best practices and compliance requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
- Deliver EHS training and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor environmental performance and support sustainability goals.
- Analyse and report EHS metrics and drive corrective actions.
About You:
- NEBOSH-qualified (or equivalent) with an environmental qualification such as IEMA or IOSH.
- Experience managing or supporting ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.
- Background in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of EHS legislation and risk management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proactive, organised, and confident influencing change across the business.
