CNC Sliding Head Setter/Operator

Hitchin Salary – Circa 35– 40k Monday – Friday double days 6am–2pm 2pm–10pm Your new role: We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Sliding Head Machinist to join a well–established precision engineering and manufacturing business.This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC machinist with experience of sliding head lathes who is comfortable setting, operating and ideally programming CNC machinery to produce high–quality precision components. Key Responsibilities & Duties: Setting and operating CNC sliding head lathesProgramming and editing CNC machines where requiredProducing precision components to engineering drawings and specificationsSelecting and setting appropriate toolingCarrying out tool changes, offsets and machine adjustmentsUsing measuring equipment including micrometres, verniers and gauges This is just a summed–up list, and other duties will be required.
