You ll supervise lessons using work set by the teacher, explain instructions and keep pupils focused. You ll manage behaviour in line with school procedures, take registers as required and leave clear feedback about work completed and any concerns. Take the lead in the classroom Relevant experience includes: Leading or supervising groups of secondary–aged young people. Classroom support, tutoring, youth work, sports coaching or similar direct work with young people. Setting expectations, keeping a group engaged and responding to challenging behaviour. Clear communication and an understanding of safeguarding. You ll need sound judgement about when to handle a situation yourself and when to involve school staff. Interested?
