Responsibilities and duties of the Day Shift Team Leader role Reporting to the EC&I Engineer, you will be responsible for: Fault finding and maintaining electrical assets including motors, transformers, switchgear, drives and HV/LV plant Working in line with maintenance techniques and best practicesAssisting in plant developments and projectsSupervising and setting to work on site contractorsMaintaining accurate maintenance records on the site Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Assist in outage planning, scheduling and coordinationTo ensure the availability of plant spares Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Ideally have an NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, qualification in a relevant engineering discipline such as Electrical/Electronic Engineering17th / 18th Edition wiring regulation qualification will be desiredA health and safety qualification such as an IOSH will be highly advantageous Personal Skills, Prior Experience and Knowledge The Electrical Technician role role would suit someone who has: Hands-on maintenance experience with PLC systems, motors, variable speed drives, switchgear, etcPractical knowledge of process plant and equipment gained in a heavy engineering environment such as power generation, petrochemical, steel works, CHP plant, paper mill etc.Prior experience working with high voltage equipment will be highly advantageousRoyal/Merchant Navy Marine Engineers will also be considered for this opportunity Salary and benefits of the Electrical Technician role A basic salary of 49,129BonusOvertimePrivate medicalOther excellent company benefits INDPOW Astute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
