About the role
Job Details
As a Justice Worker, you will play an important role in the assessment, case management and support of individuals involved with the justice system. You will work directly with service users to identify needs, assess and manage risks, develop action plans and deliver interventions that promote positive change, independence and social inclusion.
Working collaboratively with social workers, partner agencies and other professionals, you will contribute to a coordinated, person-centred approach that supports individuals to address challenges, build on their strengths and reduce the risk of further offending.
The role involves managing cases, maintaining accurate records, preparing reports and ensuring that interventions are focused on achieving meaningful outcomes for individuals and their communities.
We are looking for a motivated, compassionate and resilient individual with relevant experience, strong communication and organisational skills, and the ability to build effective working relationships. You should demonstrate a commitment to equality, inclusion and supporting people to achieve lasting positive change.

Effective report-writing, analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience of interpreting information and data.
Knowledge of approaches that empower individuals, promote independence and support positive outcomes.
Understanding of the role of families and carers and their impact on health and wellbeing.
Experience of promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.
Experience of using a range of interventions when working with individuals and groups.
Ability to deliver a consistent, effective service and apply sound professional judgement.
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
