Physiotherapist

​We are looking for a qualified and experienced Physiotherapist to support a healthcare service in Swindon on an ongoing locum basis. This opportunity involves delivering steroid injection treatments to patients during weekly Thursday clinics. With flexible working hours available, the position is suitable for a Physiotherapist with the relevant injection therapy training and experience who is seeking regular locum work.

Responsibilities

• Administer steroid injections safely and effectively within the practitioner's scope of practice.

• Assess patients and determine their suitability for injection therapy.

• Explain treatment options, obtain informed consent and provide appropriate aftercare advice.

• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation using SystmOne.

• Follow relevant clinical guidelines, infection prevention procedures and patient safety protocols.

• Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support effective patient care.

Requirements

• Relevant physiotherapy qualifications and current HCPC registration.

• Previous clinical experience as a Physiotherapist.

• Appropriate training, competency and authorisation to administer steroid injections.

• Knowledge of patient assessment, injection therapy and post-treatment care.

• Familiarity with SystmOne or similar clinical record systems.

• Strong communication, clinical decision-making and patient management skills.

• Availability to work on Thursdays.
