Warehouse Operative (Counterbalance Forklift) Location: Colchester, Essex Pay: GBP16.42 per hour Hours: 7:00am 6:00pm 4 on / 4 off Shift Pattern Job Type: Temporary to Permanent We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative (Counterbalance Forklift) to join a busy manufacturing environment in Colchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional to join a growing business, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position and develop within the role. This is a varied position with responsibility for goods in, packaging coordination, stock control and forklift operations, ensuring materials are available and managed effectively across the site. Please note: Due to the location of the site, applicants must have their own transport. Shift Pattern 4 days on / 4 days off7:00am 6:00pm Duties of the Warehouse Operative (Counterbalance Forklift) will include: Operating a Counterbalance forklift as part of the warehouse teamReceiving deliveries of packaging materials and completing intake checksChecking deliveries against paperwork and ensuring stock is recorded accuratelyManaging and organising packaging stores and storage areasMaintaining stock levels of packaging materials including boxes, labels, films, pallets and other consumablesCarrying out regular stock checks including daily, weekly and monthly countsEnsuring packaging is clearly labelled, identifiable and stored correctlyMaintaining effective stock rotation proceduresSupplying packaging materials to production areas when requiredSupporting goods in, dispatch and general warehouse operationsMaintaining a clean, organised and safe working environmentFollowing all company health & safety, quality and operational procedures The successful candidate will have: A valid Counterbalance Forklift licencePrevious experience within a warehouse, goods in or packaging environmentKnowledge of logistics distribution and supply chain Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detailGood written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to work independently and manage their own workloadA proactive approach with the ability to use initiativeExperience working within a fast–paced manufacturing environment would be advantageous Benefits GBP16.42 per hourTemporary to permanent opportunity4 on / 4 off shift patternFull–time hours with a stable and growing businessOpportunity for progression and developmentFree on–site parking If you are looking for a long–term warehouse role with a mix of forklift driving, goods in and packaging coordination, please apply today
