Picker / Packer Goods–In Location: Norfolk Dereham Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 06 30 Pay Rate: National Minimum Wage during the probationary period Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent Job Description Straight Forward Recruitment is currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Picker / Packer Goods–In Operative to join a busy warehouse team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for stable, long–term employment, with full training provided for the right candidate. Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential, as the successful applicant will receive training, guidance and ongoing support. Key Responsibilities Picking and packing goods accurately in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs). Receiving, checking and recording incoming deliveries. Inspecting goods to ensure quantities are correct and products meet the required quality standards. Using a warehouse management system to record and track stock movements, with full training provided. Keeping the warehouse and work areas clean, tidy and organised. Following all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices. Working efficiently to meet daily targets and deadlines. Supporting colleagues and contributing to the smooth running of warehouse operations. Requirements Physically fit and comfortable with a hands–on warehouse role. Able to work accurately and efficiently, including under time pressure when required. Reliable, responsible and committed to the role. Good attention to detail and a logical approach to tasks. Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to learn new systems and processes. Previous warehouse, picking, packing or goods–in experience is advantageous but not essential. Working Hours and Benefits Monday to Friday, 06 30. Paid 15–minute breakfast break. Unpaid 30–minute lunch break. National Minimum Wage during the probationary period. Temporary–to–permanent opportunity for candidates who demonstrate reliability and commitment.
