About the role
We are looking for a skilled and confident Practice Nurse to join a primary care practice in Dartford, Kent, with an immediate start available. The position offers two days per week, with working hours between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm. The practice requires nursing support on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, with flexibility to agree on two suitable days.
This opportunity is ideal for a Practice Nurse who is comfortable managing routine appointments and more complex patient needs within a busy primary care environment.
Responsibilities
Deliver safe, effective nursing care to patients within a primary care setting.
Manage approximately 10 appointments per session, with 20-minute appointments allocated for more complex cases.
Support anticoagulation management in line with relevant training and clinical protocols.
Use EMIS Web to maintain accurate patient records and document consultations.
Provide appropriate patient advice, education and ongoing care support.
Work collaboratively with the wider practice team to maintain high standards of patient care.
Requirements
Relevant nursing qualifications and current NMC registration.
Previous experience working as a Practice Nurse in a UK primary care setting.
Experience using EMIS Web.
Anticoagulation training, preferably including experience with CoaguChek machines and the INR Star dosing system.
Strong clinical assessment, communication and patient management skills.
Ability to manage both routine and complex appointments confidently.
