Envision Education is recruiting a practical, reliable Premises Assistant to support the day-to-day running of a primary school. If you have experience in caretaking, building maintenance, facilities support or DIY, this is an opportunity to put your skills to work in a rewarding school environment.

The Role

Working alongside the school team, you'll help maintain the buildings and grounds, resolve everyday maintenance issues and keep the site clean and secure.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out minor repairs, general maintenance and DIY tasks.

• Complete and record routine health and safety checks.

• Keep school grounds clean, tidy and free from litter.

• Move deliveries, furniture and equipment safely.

• Set up rooms for meetings and school events.

• Support opening, locking up and site security when required.

What We're Looking For

• Proven practical skills in DIY, repairs or maintenance.

• A dependable, proactive approach and the ability to work independently.

• Flexibility to support split shifts and the needs of the school.

• A commitment to health and safety, safeguarding and site security.

• School caretaking or similar experience is desirable, but not essential.

• A minibus licence, or willingness to obtain one.
