Academics is looking for a creative, patient and experienced Dyslexia Specialist Tutor to provide tailored 1:1 tuition to a student with dyslexia.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an education professional who can think outside the box, adapt their teaching approach and create an engaging, personalised curriculum that makes learning accessible, enjoyable and rewarding.

• Delivering tailored 1:1 tuition to a student with dyslexia.
• Creating a personalised curriculum that reflects the student's individual needs, interests and learning style.
• Using creative, multisensory and engaging teaching strategies to support learning.
• Adapting lessons to overcome barriers to literacy, reading, spelling and written work.
• Building a positive, trusting relationship to encourage confidence and motivation.
• Monitoring progress and celebrating achievements, no matter how big or small.

• Experience supporting students with dyslexia or specific learning difficulties.
• A recognised dyslexia specialist qualification or relevant specialist teaching experience.
• A creative approach to planning and delivering personalised lessons.
• Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
• The ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs.
• A commitment to making learning positive, engaging and confidence-building.
