Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about helping children learn, grow and build confidence? We are looking for an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and well-regarded independent primary school in Gerrards Cross, South Buckinghamshire.

Supporting children aged 3-11, the school offers small classes, a warm family feel and a strong focus on pastoral care, personal development and academic progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside class teachers to support individual pupils and small groups with their learning.

• Provide tailored support for children with additional learning or emotional needs.

• Lead targeted interventions to help pupils develop skills and confidence.

• Prepare engaging resources and assist with classroom activities.

• Help maintain a calm, positive and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

• Has recent experience working in a primary school or early years setting.

• Has experience supporting pupils with SEN or SEMH needs, although this is desirable.

• Is patient, warm and proactive, with a commitment to children's learning and wellbeing.

• Can commute to Gerrards Cross, is available full-time and holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
