About the role
As a Deputy Registrar, you will be an integral part of the Registration Service, carrying out a range of statutory duties and providing a high-quality, customer focused service to our residents and visitors.
You will be responsible for registering births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships in accordance with relevant legislation and guidance. You will also conduct marriage, civil partnership and citizenship ceremonies, creating a welcoming and professional experience for couples and their guests.
Working across our Southport and Waterloo Register Offices, you will provide support to the Superintendent Registrar and deputise for them when required. The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends and out of hours duties as required. A full and valid driving licence is essential, and you must be willing to travel between registration offices and other locations across the borough.
This is a varied and rewarding role, offering the opportunity to develop your professional knowledge and make a meaningful contribution to the experience of our customers.
