Are you an energetic, hands-on person looking for a part time role, who loves staying active on the job and wants your day’s work to make a genuine difference?
We are recruiting for a Retail Warehouse Assistant to join our friendly logistics and retail hub. You’ll be right at the heart of our operations, helping pick and pack our new goods that fund our vital animal welfare work across the UK.
More about the role
In this role, you’ll be an essential part our new goods warehouse operation that keeps our charity shops and online retail channels thriving. You will be the person ensuring everything moves smoothly from arrival to dispatch.
On a day to day basis, you’ll be unpacking and safely sorting incoming deliveries, quality checking stock, and helping prepare items so they reach our shop network or ecommerce team in great condition. It’s an active, physical job involving lifting, shifting, and organizing good, pallets and storage bays to keep the workspace safe, organized, and running like clockwork. You’ll report into the New Goods Buyer and work closely with volunteer colleagues, packing stock orders and helping load our delivery vans ready to hit the road.
This is a part time role working 7 hours a week, and this can be worked over one or two days, within the hours of 8:30am to 5pm.
About you
You’re someone who thrives when you’re on the go and loves being on your feet rather than stuck behind a desk all day. Practical, dependable, and naturally well-organised, you take pride in doing a thorough job, whether that’s keeping an aisle tidy, safely handling stock, or making sure the right order gets out of the door on time.
You don’t necessarily need years of warehouse experience to do well here; what really matters is your positive, can-do attitude, your reliability, and your willingness to get stuck in alongside a dedicated team. You communicate well, look out for the safety and wellbeing of those around you, and bring a warm, approachable attitude to work each morning. Most of all, you’ll care about our mission and love knowing that every box you pack and pallet you move directly supports pets and the people who love them.
