About the role
Location: Hemel Hempstead

Contract: Temporary, part-time - 20 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
We are recruiting on behalf of a Catholic academy trust for a reliable and proactive Premises Assistant / Site Manager to support the smooth running of two school sites.
This varied role combines hands-on maintenance with site management, staff supervision and responsibility for health and safety, security and cleanliness. One school is undergoing a rebuild, offering the opportunity to contribute to the development of a modern school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out minor repairs, maintenance and caretaking duties.
- Complete health and safety checks and statutory compliance tasks.
- Coordinate site operations, maintenance schedules and contractors.
- Supervise premises staff and support their training and development.
- Maintain site security, cleanliness and grounds.
- Support budgets, procurement and school improvement projects.
About You
- Practical DIY or maintenance experience.
- Good knowledge of health and safety.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing contractors or supervising staff.
- Flexibility to travel between school sites.
School experience is desirable but not essential. Both contracts must be undertaken by the successful candidate.
