Job Description
Vetro are recruiting a SEND Teacher to join a supportive specialist provision based in Cheshire. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, personalised learning for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) within a well-structured mainstream setting. You will work alongside experienced support staff to create an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
As well as across Cheshire, Vetro has a range of other job opportunities available across Liverpool and the Wirral, in a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities
As a SEND Teacher, your daily duties will include:
Planning and delivering structured, differentiated lessons aligned to individual needs, EHCP outcomes, and appropriate assessment frameworks
Creating a calm, consistent classroom environment that supports communication, regulation, and positive behaviour
Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCO/lead staff, families, and external professionals to implement targeted strategies and interventions
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a SEND Teacher, you will need:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification)
Experience teaching or supporting children with additional needs in a primary or specialist setting (ASC/SLCN experience desirable)
Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one) and a strong commitment to safeguarding and professional boundaries
