About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Pricing Clerk to join a well-established freight forwarding company. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous freight forwarding and pricing experience looking to join a friendly and growing team.
Duties Include:- Obtaining rates from airlines, shipping lines, hauliers, and suppliers.
- Preparing air and sea freight quotations for customers and overseas agents.
- Handling spot quotes, RFQs, and tender requests.
- Negotiating competitive rates with suppliers.
- Building and maintaining relationships with customers and overseas partners.
- Creating and updating tariffs and pricing sheets.
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure accurate quotations.
- Supporting business development activities where required.
- Attending supplier and customer meetings when needed.
- Previous experience within freight forwarding pricing or quotations.
- Knowledge of air freight and sea freight.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical skills.
- Ability to work in a busy office environment.
- CargoWise experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
