I’m partnering with an established and growing professional services organisation on a newly created Finance Manager position. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a forward-thinking team where finance plays a key role in supporting business growth, driving performance and shaping strategic decisions.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the finance function, leading financial reporting, management accounts, financial controls, budgeting and forecasting, while helping to drive continued improvements across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reports, MI and variance analysis
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and support year end, statutory and audit reporting
• Support annual budgeting, business planning, rolling forecasts and scenario modelling
• Provide financial insight to support commercial decisions, pricing, fee proposals and profitability across clients, projects and service lines
• Maintain financial controls, overseeing reconciliations, cash flow, debtor management and billing
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax, VAT, payroll and regulatory requirements
• Drive improvements in finance systems, processes and reporting, reducing manual intervention and increasing efficiency and accuracy

About You

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience within financial services, ideally in an SME environment
• Strong track record of producing monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Sound knowledge of UK GAAP, statutory reporting and financial compliance
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Experience with Xero is highly advantageous
