About the role
WHAT YOU DO
- Verify and process all dispatch documentation, register outgoing vehicles in SAP, organise external warehouse transfers, and conduct final load checks.
- Efficiently and safely load lorries using a Power Pallet Truck while strictly meeting weight distribution and load security standards.
- Continuously monitor shipping lanes connected to the high-bay warehouse to ensure correct products are staged for scheduled routes.
- Maintain a strong safety-first culture by inspecting PPT equipment before use, following WMS safety protocols, and keeping the loading bay clear of hazards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HGV drivers and hauliers to provide clear parking instructions, loading schedules, and professional service.
- Guide new starters and agency staff through site inductions, warehouse layouts, and operational workflows to ensure seamless onboarding.
WHO YOU ARE
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an outbound goods or dispatch environment.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Warehousing & Storage or an equivalent vocational qualification in stock control and warehouse safety.
- Hands-on experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld scanners.
- Comprehensive SAP proficiency alongside practical knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.
- Valid accredited Power Pallet Truck (PPT) licence (RTITB/ITSSAR) and IOSH Working Safely certification are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent time management, strong interpersonal skills, and a professional, customer-focused approach under pressure.

- Basic hourly rate: £13.79
- Hourly rate with 20% shift premium: £16.44
