Purchase Ledger Manager
Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire | £45,000–£55,000 + Benefits | Permanent | Hybrid (4 days office)
SRM Recruitment is working exclusively with a well-established, family-owned business to recruit a Purchase Ledger Manager.
You’ll join a friendly finance team of around 20 at an exciting time. The business is modernising its processes, and this is a real opportunity to put your stamp on the purchase ledger function while keeping a busy, high-performing team on track.
The Role
- Lead, develop and support a team of three Ledger Clerks
- Stay hands-on, combining team leadership with invoice processing in a high-volume environment
- Take ownership of VAT
- Liaise with local authorities on council tax and business rates across the group’s sites
- Play a key part in improving processes as the function modernises
- Build strong relationships across the business, with regular exposure to the directors
About You
- Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Manager or Supervisor, including managing a team
- Comfortable being hands-on in a high-volume environment
- Strong working knowledge of VAT
- A collaborative, confident communicator who is at ease with senior stakeholders

- £45,000–£55,000 salary
- 24 days holiday plus bank holidays
