- Leading and mentoring hydraulic modellers, delegating work and undertaking technical reviews and quality assurance
- Preparing and reviewing technical reports, project proposals and fee estimates
- Managing project delivery, budgets and resources, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, statutory authorities and other stakeholders
About You
- A degree in Water, Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience delivering hydraulic modelling and flood risk management projects for UK-based clients
- Strong practical experience in 1D–2D hydraulic modelling and relevant software packages
- Experience building and troubleshooting models, using GIS and assessing the reliability of modelling results
- An understanding of FEH hydrological analysis, UK flood risk legislation, planning policy and industry guidance
- Experience leading technical work, reviewing outputs and mentoring other modellers
- Experience contributing to project proposals, fee estimates and project delivery
- Excellent communication, report writing and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams
Desirable
- A full UK driving licence.
- Chartered status or working towards chartership.
