DBS Chef

OVERVIEW

We are currently recruiting high-quality DBS-checked Relief Chefs to support schools, care homes, and contract catering sites across the North East (Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Middlesbrough & surrounding areas).

Wages - £16.00ph - £18.00ph + holiday pay (Depending on experience)

While working with us you will have the opportunity to work in different sites like carehomes, schools, events, Racecourses, and local universities etc.

This is why you need to be confident in your skills & able to adapt to new environments.

Experience in carehomes, schools or contract catering is preferred, but if you have a minimum of 3 years chef experience in fast paced environments, feel free to get in touch as hard working, skilled chefs with great attitudes are always welcome.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Cook to specification and opportunity for menu creation.
• Product Delivery, Standards and Innovation
• Cleaning the kitchen & it’s equipment
• Due diligence, Record food/fridge temps & wastage
• Liaising with Front of House Staff and Management.
• Stock Control, Waste Management and Finance
• Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Maintenance
• Be aware of and adhere to Health and Safety at Work, COSHH and other legislation at all times.

What you need?

• Food Safety Level 2 certificate - From last 3 years
• Food Allergen certificate - From last 3 years
• Enhanced DBS Certificate within the last 3 years
• Health & Safety Level 2 - From last 3 years
• You will have an NVQ Level 2/3 Professional Cookery or relevant experience in the role.
• Good Knowledge of food and passion for delivering high quality, affordable, on-the-go and sit-down meals.
• Eligible to work in the UK
• An eagerness to work hard & enthusiasm for your role
