Functional Skills Maths Tutor - Liverpool Location: Liverpool Hours: 5-15 hours per week Start Date: October 2026 Duration: Ongoing Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting a Functional Skills Maths Tutor to support learners in Liverpool through personalised 1:1 tuition. This role would suit a tutor who enjoys making Maths accessible and practical, particularly when working with learners who may have gaps in their education or have struggled with traditional classroom environments. Key Responsibilities Deliver 1:1 Functional Skills Maths tuition Develop learners' confidence with numeracy Identify and address gaps in mathematical understanding Adapt lessons to individual ability levels Use practical examples and accessible explanations Support learners to work towards their educational goals Monitor progress throughout the placement Requirements Strong Maths subject knowledge Experience delivering Functional Skills or GCSE Maths desirable Previous experience working with young people Ability xjnqpsq to adapt teaching to different learning needs Patient, encouraging and reliable approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one Right to Work in the UK Two professional child-related references Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business and education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy
