About the role
Would you like to play a part in making fun and open-to-all music events happen? Or maybe you’re keen to gain behind-the-scenes experience in arts administration, meet more players and singers in your area or connect with artists and composers.
New music charity CoMA is currently looking to fill the voluntary role of Treasurer for CoMA Glasgow ensemble.
Role description: CoMA Treasurer
The treasurer forms part of an ensemble’s committee and is primarily concerned with the ensemble’s finances:
- Follow and adhere to CoMA’s ensemble account guidelines.
- Be responsible for collecting membership fees and tracking donations.
- Manage the ensemble’s bank account and complete end of year accounts following the templates provided by CoMA Central.
- Present accounts at your ensemble’s Annual General Meeting.
- Discuss event budgets with the committee.
How to apply
To express your interest, please email CoMA Glasgow ([email removed]) with the following:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Any access requirements
- 1-2 paragraphs explaining why you are interested in the role
- 1-2 paragraphs detailing your relevant experience
We actively encourage applicants from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds, including those from the Global Majority, d/Deaf and disabled people, those from working-class backgrounds and the LGBTQ+ community.
The ensemble committee will review your application, and if they feel you will be suited to the role, you will be invited to attend an ensemble rehearsal and chat with the committee, followed by an online information session in November or December.
If you think a different role on the committee (including general support) would suit you best, or if you would rather join the ensemble as a player, CoMA is still excited to hear from you! Contact the ensemble directly or CoMA Project Manager Francesca at [email removed] for more details and to express your interest.
We look forward to hearing from you!
