About the role

Mixed Signal Design Engineer

Job Description:

We’re supporting a pioneering technology company building advanced hardware platforms for AI and high-performance computing.

Their mission is to radically increase speed and scalability while reducing energy consumption  and they’re assembling a team of exceptional engineers to make it happen.

The Role

As a Principal Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Engineer, you will take ownership of designing and guiding key analog subsystems within cutting-edge silicon solutions. You’ll be central to defining architectures, shaping specifications, and steering external partners to deliver at the highest standards.

You’ll join an ambitious R&D team where your designs directly influence the success of next-generation compute hardware – from early prototypes through to validated systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the definition and architecture of high-speed analog/mixed-signal circuits and subsystems.
  • Specify block-level requirements for custom IP and translate system targets into detailed designs.
  • Act as the technical interface with external ASIC/IC design houses, reviewing and validating deliverables.
  • Guide system-level considerations including signal integrity, clocking, power, and packaging.
  • Contribute to prototype bring-up, debugging, and validation of performance.
  • Work cross-functionally with digital, software, packaging, and hardware engineers to ensure end-to-end system success.

What You’ll Need:

  • Around 8+ years’ experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design and system-level development.
  • Strong expertise in core AMS design concepts such as ADC/DACs, amplifiers, PLLs, power management, and signal conditioning.
  • Proven background in high-speed / high-precision systems (GHz-level clocks, >1GSps ADCs, high-resolution converters).
  • Competence with EDA and modelling tools (Cadence, SPICE, MATLAB or similar).
  • Ability to define and communicate complex trade-offs at architecture and system levels.
  • Experience working alongside external silicon suppliers or design consultancies.
  • Bonus: familiarity with board bring-up, productisation, or large-scale integration.

Why Join?

  • Play a pivotal role in a company that’s driving the next leap forward in AI hardware.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts across electronics, optics, and embedded systems.
  • Influence designs from architecture through to production.
  • Receive a competitive package including salary, share options, and strong benefits.
  • Join a fast-scaling, well-funded venture where your impact will be visible and valued.
