Key responsibilities:
- Setting product direction and maintaining prioritised roadmaps across a portfolio of technology solutions.
- Defining, prioritising and maintaining the backlog and delivery roadmap in line with product strategy and business outcomes.
- Evaluating competing demands and making informed decisions based on business value, user needs, delivery feasibility and risk.
- Working with stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve business processes and the effectiveness of existing systems.
- Leading product discovery, gathering insights to inform requirements, investment priorities and future development.
- Improving product adoption and ensuring that changes deliver tangible operational and commercial benefits.
- Managing relationships with external technology providers, overseeing performance and supporting effective supplier engagement.
- Balancing new development with ongoing service requirements, reliability and continuous improvement.
- Establishing meaningful measures of product performance and using insights to guide future priorities.
- Coaching and supporting other product professionals, encouraging effective planning, prioritisation and delivery practices.
- Collaborating with technical specialists and business leaders to ensure that product decisions are commercially sound and technically viable.
About you:
You will bring a strong background in legal technology, with experience taking ownership of complex products within a large or multi-stakeholder organisation.
You should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience managing priorities across multiple products or services.
- A track record of delivering measurable improvements in business performance, user experience or operational effectiveness.
- Confidence engaging senior stakeholders, challenging assumptions and building agreement around competing priorities.
- Strong product discovery, requirements definition, prioritisation and lifecycle management skills.
- The ability to work effectively with engineering, architecture, data, security and other technical specialists.
- Commercial awareness, including experience managing suppliers and evaluating technology investments.
- Experience mentoring, coaching or providing guidance to other product professionals.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and relationship management skills.
- A practical, outcome-focused approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Desirable experience:
- Experience in professional services, consulting or another knowledge-intensive business environment.
- Exposure to digital transformation, business automation or the application of AI in business processes.
- Familiarity with enterprise technology platforms and systems supporting complex business operations.
- Experience helping organisations adopt new technology and embed changes into established ways of working.
- Knowledge of contemporary product management methodologies and agile delivery practices.
