Bell Cornwall Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join an established intellectual property firm in Birmingham. This is a great opportunity for an experienced operational leader to oversee multiple teams, drive process improvements and support the firm’s continued growth.
Operations Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and develop Patent Paralegal, Trade Mark Paralegal and Business Support teams, comprising approx. 40 people
- Oversee workforce planning, resource allocation and team performance.
- Monitor workloads, productivity and capacity to support operational decisions.
- Manage performance reviews, employee relations and staff development.
- Identify process improvements and drive operational efficiency.
- Work closely with Partners and senior stakeholders to support business objectives.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Significant experience in a senior operational leadership or management role.
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams within a professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of workforce planning, performance management and employee relations.
- Experience using management information to improve workflows and resource utilisation.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of IP administration, Inprotech and iManage would be advantageous.
