We're looking for an Estimator to join our growing Sales & Estimating team. The Role

You'll be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for fire suppression projects ranging from small works through to complex national contracts.

Working closely with Design, Contracts and Commercial teams, you'll ensure projects are accurately scoped, competitively priced and commercially viable.

Your work will help secure projects from initial enquiry through to successful handover, making you a key part of the project lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing

• Reviewing tender enquiries, specifications and project documentation.

• Interpreting drawings and technical information.

• Preparing detailed estimates and cost breakdowns.

• Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations.

• Building Bills of Materials and labour calculations.

• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities.

• Supporting client discussions and tender clarifications.

• Working closely with Design and Contracts teams to ensure smooth project transitions.

• Maintaining estimating records and pricing databases.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Experience in an Estimator, Costing, Commercial or similar role.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Good Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

• Experience within construction, building services, fire protection or mechanical installations.

• Knowledge of sprinkler or fire suppression systems.

• AutoCAD experience.

• Commercial awareness within project-based environments.
