Do you enjoy a varied accounts role where you can get involved across the finance function?
An established manufacturing business in Grantham is looking for a Finance Assistant to join its Accounts and Payroll team. Supporting the Finance Manager and Finance Director, you will help keep everyday finances running smoothly, with responsibilities spanning purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control and weekly payroll.
The role
- Processing purchase invoices, reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries.
- Maintaining the sales ledger and chasing outstanding customer payments.
- Maintaining the cash book and completing weekly reconciliations.
- Preparing weekly payroll using Sage and helping monitor time and attendance.
- Liaising with customers and suppliers.
- Supporting the wider finance team with accounts administration and other duties.
You will have previous experience in an accounts role, good Excel skills and a careful, organised approach. You should be comfortable handling queries, working to deadlines and moving between different tasks.
Experience across both purchase ledger and sales ledger would be useful, alongside reconciliations and credit control. Payroll experience, particularly using Sage, would also be an advantage.
You do not need a particular accounting qualification. Practical experience, accuracy and a willingness to contribute to the team are what matter.
This role would suit an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or Bookkeeper who enjoys variety and wants to put their everyday accounting skills to use within an established business.
