Are you a caring, patient, and supportive person looking to make a real difference in education?
We’re looking for individuals interested in 1:1 ALN support opportunities across schools in Newtown and the surrounding Powys area .
As a 1:1 support worker, you’ll provide individual support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) , helping them engage with their learning, build confidence and get the most out of their school day.
The role can involve:
• Providing dedicated 1:1 support to pupils • Supporting learning and classroom activities • Helping pupils with engagement, confidence and wellbeing • Working alongside teachers and school staff • Creating a positive, patient and encouraging environment
Previous experience within a school isn’t always essential. Experience in care, support work, childcare, coaching or working with children or young people can provide great transferable skills.
